Having a baby is one of the most important times of your life, of course you want to be great at it. Filling out a baby book can be a different story. When you first have a baby, things can be more than a little busy. You take so many photos and hold onto every keepsake so how do you choose which to tuck away and keep forever? You're managing a newborn and a household that beats to a new tiny drum, it's no wonder that filling out a baby book often gets pushed. The whole thing can feel very overwhelming. We understand. We've been there. In fact, we are there. Many years after having our babies we are finally ready to fill out the baby book of our dreams. Because it's never too late to put these together. Afterall, this is the keepsake from their babyhood that you will save forever.
Capturing moments and preserving them the old-fashioned way in an album has never been easier thanks to our iPhones and Instagram. With that in mind, we designed the baby book to fit 4 x 4 square photos, since so much of our world is viewed that way these days. Our favorite app to print photos is Social Print Studio because it will take the photos from your phone and ship them to your home.
Take your time filling out the book, don't feel like you need to tell your whole story all at once. As they say, "The days go slow, but the years go fast."
If you need more adhesive than what is supplied, we recommend using a double-sided tape roller that can be purchased at any office supply store.
Use the pockets provided for those keepsakes that might not have a specific spot. These are perfect for hospital name tag bracelets, special cards from family members, and extra photos.
We recommend using the same pen throughout the book for a cohesive look. Embrace your handwriting...it will make this book even more personal. Children love their parents' handwriting.
The best advice we can give is to take your time, be present, and don't rush. This is the closest you can get to slowing it down and bottling it up...and make sure to share your memories with us @sugarpaperla #sugarpaperbabybook
