Summer is our favorite time to entertain. It's easy, fun, and the opportunities for getting together are endless. We do it often and we've come up with a few great tips and tricks to do it right.
We like to use natural elements for our table setting, which is why we love to use seagrass chargers and a sprig of whatever greenery is nearby. Fabric napkins are a favorite but for summer we opt for lighter cotton ones. We're currently obsessed with these cuties from The Everyday Co. The windowpane lends a casual feel, and the pink trim-well you know how we feel about pink. A chambray runner brings the whole look together and keeps it fresh for summer. We also love to match our invitations to our decor, so in the summertime we use one of these designs from the Paperless Post x Sugar Paper Party Collection.
Flowers don't have to be a big to-do. Just snip some beautiful buds from outside and pop them in a vase you have on hand. We love these little gold vases from Jill Rosenwald for a little added bling.
However we entertain, we only follow one rule-have fun and enjoy each other.
It's not a party without a little libation and our favorite, Vie Vité Rosé, also serves as decor because it looks so pretty on ice. We like to put it in a silver bucket and set up a self-serve station so guests can help themselves, and you can be free to mingle rather than tend bar.
Keep food simple, but festive. Mini lobster rolls work on all levels-cute, delicious, and they are as summery as it gets.
However we entertain, we only follow one rule-have fun and enjoy each other. Happy Summer!
