Two things we know to be true. 1) Letter writing is an art, and 2) memoirs make for great reads. With that, we welcome Mary-Louise Parker’s delightful debut, Dear Mr. You, to the shelves of our store. Consider it the Sugar Paper literary seal of approval.
The book is a heartfelt collection of letters to the men, real and hypothetical, that have shaped the actress and author’s life. Below, NPR’s Weekend Edition interviews Parker. Two of our favorite snippets: “I am so freakishly obsessed with my stationery,” and “It does matter to people when you take the time to consider them and put that onto paper.”
If you’re in Brentwood and are in need of a read, we invite you to swing by for a copy.
