WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 21, 2011They say necessity is the mother of invention and I agree wholeheartedly. This tricycle will be sitting proudly underneath our tree on Christmas morning. It’s the perfect gift for Owen this year with his love of wheels and I love it because it screams iconic Christmas. This giant “from Santa” tag was created specifically for this gift. I asked Molly Jacques to letter it for me and she delightfully obliged. Once we saw it letterpress printed we went nuts for it. It’s now sold in the stores. And that, my friends, is how it’s done around here.
Merry Christmas from all of us. It’s time for a long winter’s nap. See you in 2012!

It’s our 9th holiday season at Sugar Paper and I’m still amazed by the amount of handwork we do every year during this season. We line thousands of envelopes, tie equally as many bows and adhere photo after photo all day long. The Sugar Paper team continues to impress me with their attention to detail and perfectionism. The amount of delirious laughter that fills the workroom is one of my favorites things about the holidays. Hand work can be cathartic and it can also make you a little kooky. Right now we’re sane, but talk to us the week after Thanksgiving…

Each year we custom design gorgeous cards for equally lovely people… and the best part is seeing how our designs take on the life of the client with each and every choice. The Poppy Store carries children’s clothes with a decidedly sophisticated edge. Cashmere crowns, exclusive lines from France, Hunter wellies in mini sizes… The Poppy Store dresses a tiny, yet chic clientele. And now Poppy Store’s new website is only a click away. Take a peek and check often for updates. They continue to get new things and update the site as they arrive. I won’t lie.. I didn’t leave the store empty handed after taking photos.
